There will be a new calendar for each month. You will receive a paper copy the last week of each month, for the following month. A .pdf of the calendar will also be posted to this page. You will not receive additional reminders for your shifts. Please be responsible!
If you are unable to work an assigned shift, please let Mrs. Broadus know ahead of time. If you miss three shifts without letting us know ahead of time, you will no longer be scheduled.

duties
The following is a list of responsibilities the LRC student aides may be expected to do on the job. Your exact responsibilities will be given to you on a daily basis, but please remember that these duties are all very important and need to be completed. Also, there are specific jobs for specific times of the day.
- Stamping and preparing date due cards
- Preparing periodicals for display
- Shelving books
- Preparing displays
- Dismantling and preparing bulletin boards
- Delivering messages
- Preparing reserve books
- Assisting with general cleanup (dusting, washing tables, cleaning headphones)
- Pulling books for unit studies
- Checking in / out LRC materials
- Working at the book fairs
- Maintaining your assigned “Adopt-a-Shelf”
student aide application
Any student who is interested in volunteering as a library helper for the 2013-2014 school year must fill out an application and turn it in to Mrs. Broadus. All applications are due by Friday Sept 20th.
